Bristol is a friendly, caring community. If people are nice, why do we need to worry about “systemic racism”? What does systemic racism even mean? How widespread is the issue? What part can we play to ensure that our community is truly a welcoming, safe place for all? In this presentation, Racial Equity Consultant Emiliano Void (nuwave Equity Corporation) will answer these questions and share insights into some frequent inequities that Black people face. The goal is to raise our awareness and get a discussion started regarding how we can play an active role in promoting true equity in our neighborhood, our local businesses, and our schools.
